This page sets out our copyright ownership statement, the procedure for submitting a takedown request under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and equivalent Indian copyright law, and the process for filing a counter-notice.
Copyright Ownership
All original content published on MarathiGrammar.one — including lesson text, grammar explanations, example sentences, exercises, illustrations, and website code — is owned by MarathiGrammar.one or its respective contributors and is protected under:
- The Indian Copyright Act, 1957, and its amendments.
- The Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) of the United States, to the extent applicable.
- Applicable international copyright treaties including the Berne Convention.
You may not reproduce, distribute, or adapt our original content without prior written permission, except as permitted under the fair dealing provisions of the Indian Copyright Act, 1957, or equivalent fair use provisions elsewhere.
Marathi language material in the public domain — classical texts, traditional grammar examples — is used for educational purposes and is not claimed as our original work. Attribution is provided where applicable.
Reporting Copyright Infringement (Takedown Request)
If you believe that content on MarathiGrammar.one infringes your copyright, please send a written notice to us at hello@marathigrammar.one with the subject line "DMCA Takedown Request".
To be effective, your notice must include all of the following:
- Your contact information: Your full legal name, mailing address, email address, and telephone number.
- Identification of the copyrighted work: A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed. If multiple works are covered by a single notification, provide a representative list.
- Identification of the infringing material: A clear description of the material on MarathiGrammar.one that you claim is infringing, with sufficient information to allow us to locate it — ideally the full URL of the page(s).
- A statement of good faith: "I have a good faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law."
- A statement of accuracy: "I swear, under penalty of perjury, that the information in this notification is accurate, and I am the copyright owner or authorised to act on behalf of the copyright owner."
- Your signature: A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or the person authorised to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
Incomplete notices may not be acted upon. Submitting a false DMCA notice may expose you to liability.
Our Response to Takedown Requests
Upon receiving a valid and complete takedown notice, we will:
- Acknowledge receipt of the notice promptly.
- Review the claim and, if we determine it is valid, remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing content expeditiously.
- Notify the contributor who submitted the content (where applicable) and provide them with a copy of the notice.
We aim to process valid notices within five business days of receipt.
Counter-Notice Procedure
If you believe that content you submitted was removed or disabled as a result of a mistake or misidentification, you may send us a counter-notice at hello@marathigrammar.one with the subject line "DMCA Counter-Notice".
Your counter-notice must include:
- Your contact information: Your full legal name, mailing address, email address, and telephone number.
- Identification of the removed material: A description of the material that was removed and the URL at which it appeared before removal.
- A statement under penalty of perjury: "I swear, under penalty of perjury, that I have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification of the material."
- Consent to jurisdiction: A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate courts and will accept service of process from the person who sent the original takedown notice.
- Your signature: A physical or electronic signature.
Upon receipt of a valid counter-notice, we may restore the content after providing the original complainant with a copy of the counter-notice and allowing the legally required waiting period, unless the complainant informs us that they have filed a court action.
Repeat Infringers
MarathiGrammar.one has a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances, the access of users or contributors who are found to be repeat infringers of intellectual property rights.
